Joseph Lule submitted this in a comment and for those who do not follow the comments I have posted it here as it seems right to me.

I hope I am wrong but in my spirit I feel as if it is the correct thing. For those who will read this don’t take it as face value but be as the Berean Christians and study the Word to see if what I am saying is correct if not please correct me.

The book heading is Dreams From My Father by President Obama.

Please note that a son will do what he sees his father is doing as stated in John 5:19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, The Son is not able to do anything from Himself, except what He may see the Father doing; for whatever that One does, these things also the Son does likewise.

Remember that spiritually one has a Father as Jesus said in John 8:42-44 Then Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I went forth and have come from God. For I have not come from Myself, but that One sent Me. Why do you not know My speech? It is because you are not able to hear My Word. You are of the Devil as father, and the lusts of your father you desire to do. That one was a murderer from the beginning, and he has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own, because he is a liar, and the father of it.

In his book this ruler says that he got a purpose in life after getting to know his father.

Who is his Father?

As stated above dreams are sometimes given to show a person what path one has to take in life or what may happen in the future as seen in the bible where Abraham is shown of what will happen to his generation, also Joseph shown that he would be a ruler, and Nebuchadnezzar shown of what will happen in the future with regards to the four human Kingdoms.

But first we have to look at the dream he had in 1988 before he got the throne.

“…I finally fell asleep and dreamed I was walking along a village road. Children dressed only in strings of beads played in front of the round huts, and several old men waived to me as I passed. But as I went further along, I began to notice that people were looking behind me fearfully, rushing into their huts as I passed. I heard the growl of a leopard and started to run into the forest, tripping over roots and stumps and vines, until at last I couldn’t run any longer and fell to my knees in the middle of a bright clearing. Panting for breath, I turned around to see the day turned into night, and a giant figure looming as tall as the trees, wearing only a loin cloth and a ghostly mask. The lifeless eyes bored into me, and I heard a thunderous voice saying only that it was time, and my entire body began to shake violently with the sound, as if I were breaking apart… I jerked up in a sweat hitting my head against wall lamp that stuck out above the bunk. In the darkness my heart slowly evened itself, but I could not get back to sleep again. ” Dreams From My Father; Barack Obama.

God of heaven, speaks through dreams to his children as stated in Gen 20:3, Gen 20:6, Gen 31:11, Gen 31:24, and many others so is the Devil also speaks through dreams.

Please you have to understand that God gives understanding in visions and dreams as stated in Daniel 1:17 as for these four boys, God gave them knowledge and skill in all writing and wisdom. And Daniel had understanding in all visions and dream.
Please note again God gives understanding in all visions and dreams.

He dreamt he was walking which means it is his walk in life. In that he had arrived in a place in life where he was about to know his meaning and purpose of life.

As he continued with his life he journeyed to a region where children dress only in strings of beads as they played in front of the round huts and also several old men waved to him as he passed.

As he continued with his journey people were looking behind him fearfully, rushing into their huts as he passed.

This thing that was after him brought fear in other people lives and it growled like a leopard. Please remember this thing is what I will call a beast was not after him but wanted to direct him to a purpose.

What he hadn’t noticed was that the beast was following him and only noticed after people who looking behind him fearfully and rushed into their huts as he passed then is when he heard the growl of the leopard.

And because of the growl he run until at last he couldn’t run any longer and fell to his knees in the middle of a bright clearing.

Day had turned to night and a giant, lifeless eyes figure looming as tall as the trees, wearing only a loin cloth and a ghostly mask bored into him. Did it attack him? No.

The beast only gave a message that it was time and his entire body began to shake violently with the sound, as if he was breaking apart.

Did the dream end there I don’t know if it ended there but only the President knows.

By the way one should know that a person will always become one with the thing that directs him.

Why? Because you will always listen to one that directs you which is explained in John 8:43-44 why do you not know My speech? It is because you are not able to hear My Word. You are of the Devil as father, and the lusts of your father you desire to do. If one hears the words of Jesus and do them then they will know the Father who is the God of Abraham but if they do not know hear Jesus then they would be described as Jesus said You are of the Devil as father, and the lusts of your father you desire to do.

Whose desire does the President do?

In Rev 13:2 it is stated that and the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and its feet as of a bear, and its mouth as a lion’s mouth. And the dragon gave its power to it, and its throne, and great authority.

Let’s say as stated in the dream he becomes one with the beast that was like a leopard and as stated in Rev 13:2 the dragon has to give him power, throne and authority.

What is the dragon power, throne and authority?

We have to go back to the bible where Jesus is led to the desert and tempted by the Devil in Mat 4:8-10 where it says “Again the Devil takes Him to a very high mountain, and shows to Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him. I will give all these things to You if falling down, You will worship me. Then Jesus said to him, Go, Satan! For it has been written: “You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve Him only.” Deut. 6:13.

In the bible it says that the kingdoms of the world and their glory are under the Devil and he can give it to anybody who is willing to fall down and worship him.

To those who may not know, the Presidency is a throne and it has power and authority and do not be lied to even if the experts say that it has checks.
Most people will be shocked when I say that these institutions were not created with the mindset of God.
Democracy which is man invention is an institution that is run by men ideas and not God’s.

Before democracy it was highly believed that Monarchs ruled divinely and because of their misdeeds people felt that governments should exist to protect property of subjects and citizens, defend against foreign enemies, secure order, and protect the natural rights of its people. Therefore, it was believed that government was based on their voluntary consent. If their basic natural rights were violated, they could withdraw their consent and therefore led to the development of democracy where people were given the right to exercise their will in choosing their leaders.

Please remember as stated in 1Co 3:19 for the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God; for it has been written, “He takes the wise in their own craftiness.” Job 5:13

By the way there is no democracy in the kingdom of God. Our God is King and Lord and He owns everything. And I would say again that the Presidency is a seat of the throne that has enormous powers and authority.

I am going to break people hearts by telling them that because democracy originates from man, where it is not a system based or driven by love but driven by competition, contention in the heart, greed, pride, boastfulness, bitterness, jealousy, fear, manipulation, hatred, desire for power, lies, violence and many others things originates from the Devil.

As stated in James 3:14-15 where it says “But if you have bitter jealousy and contention in your heart, do not boast and lie against the truth. This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but is earthly, beastly, devilish.”

That is why it would be difficult to get to the worldly throne unless you pursued almost all of these things which is in contravention with the Word of God that says that the greatest is the servant.

By the way if you do these entire things, one is already like the Devil and in true sense a child of the Devil and is already worshiping the Devil.

To get to this worldly throne of the ruler of the world which is the Presidency if the contender heart is filled with contention in the heart, greed, pride, boastfulness, bitterness, jealousy, fear, manipulation, hatred, desire for power, lies, violence that wisdom does not come down from above, but is earthly, beastly, and devilish.

Okay let’s go back; what made him get the Throne was earthly, beastly and devilish wisdom which does not come down from the Father who is Heaven the creator of Heaven and Earth.

I hope I am wrong but in my spirit I feel as if it is the correct thing. For those who will read this don’t take it as face value but be as the Berean Christians and study the Word to see if what I am saying is correct if not please correct me.

If what is stated above is what I believe to be correct then we have to look at the bible which describes the man of sin as the son of perdition.
2Th 2:3 says ‘Do not let anyone deceive you in any way, because that Day will not come unless first comes the falling away, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,’

The word “perdition” occurs in the English Bible 8 times (Joh_17:12; Phi_1:28; 2Th_2:3; 1Ti_6:9; Heb_10:39; 2Pe_3:7; Rev_17:11, Rev_17:18). In each of these cases it denotes the final state of ruin and punishment which forms the opposite to salvation. The verb apollúein, from which the word is derived, has two meanings: (1) to lose; (2) to destroy. Both of these pass over to the noun, so that apōleia comes to signify: (1) loss; (2) ruin, destruction.
The son of perdition was a name given to Judas as stated in (Joh_17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name; I guarded those whom You gave to Me, and not one of them was lost, except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled) and to the Antichrist (2Th_2:3).
This is the well-known Hebrew idiom by which a person typically embodying a certain trait or character or destiny is called the son of that thing. The name therefore represents Judas and the Antichrist.
To the Hebrew a son of perdition is typified as a character of someone who is in a state of ruin and punishment is therefore called the son of ruin and punishment.
It should be noted that just like Judas Iscariot the Anti-Christ is a human being who has taken an evil character and destined himself to destruction.
Remember if he is the one he must able to do things according to his will and going against the ways of God and which means he is not humble like Jesus was stated in Mat 26:39 And going forward a little, He fell on His face, praying, and saying, My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.

You may ask when you see him doing things is it his will or God’s will? I am not saying his quotes of the bible but what he does, does it glorify God or him. When he succeeds in doing things does the glory go to God or him?

Also that as stated in 2Th 2:9-10 His coming is according to the working of Satan in all power and miraculous signs and lying wonders, and in all deceit of unrighteousness in those being lost, because they did not receive the love of the truth in order for them to be saved.

Therefore for him to be who I claim him to be, his coming and his is way should be to deceive people by his craftiness and corrupt them into believing a lie just as the Serpent deceived Eve as stated in Rom 16:18 for such ones do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth speaking and flattering they deceive the hearts of those without guile and His tongue is smooth and flatters the mind so as to corrupt them who do not believe Jesus.

You may ask which lie? To be him he will act like the false prophets as stated in Mar 13:22 for false christs and false prophets will arise and will give miraculous signs and wonders in order to seduce, if possible, even the elect. In that he leads people to himself and not God, for if any man tells people to put their hope on him, he is deceiving people and taking the place of Christ which is the heart of man and also known as the temple of God. The hope of the world is Jesus Christ and there is no other hope.

Does he have a seducing spirit and for him to have a seducing spirit is a spirit that can be defined as a spirit that “leads astray,” “to causes to err,” as from the paths of truth. That means his motive will be to lead multitudes astray from the God of Heaven and to cause them to err and to seek a path that leads to destruction.
Does he have a seducing spirit? When he gives his speech do you feel as if you are carried away to a place like heaven being wowed by his ways and almost lifting him up in your heart? Please remember the heart is the Lords and nobody should be there except the Lord and anything that competes with Him in there is an idol and, He will destroy it.
By the way, by leading away people to himself it means he is opposing God.

Okay this is just a piece to warn people not to put their trust in any leader but God and this Ruler may not know that he is the one but he truly knows who he serves.

And again this article mainly is to tell people that Christ is about to come and in my spirit it feels as if it may be any day from now and my advice is that please prepare your hearts for the coming of the Lord, turn away from wickedness and seek forgiveness from the Lord.

And again I hope I am wrong but in my spirit I feel as if it is the correct thing. For those who will read this don’t take it as face value but be as the Berean Christians and study the Word to see if what I am saying is correct if not please correct me. If I am wrong please forgive me.

This was written by Joseph Lule and as astudent I thought it would be right to post it as an article as well as a comment: for those who do not follow the comments.

The Generation that sees the coming of Christ

A generation is pronounced as jen-ẽr-ā´shun and it is got from Latin generatio, from genero, which means “beget”.
It may be also called “circle,” “generation,” hence, “age,” “period,” “cycle”: “many generations” (Deu_32:7); (b) The people of any particular period or those born about the same time:
When the disciples came to show Jesus the buildings of the temple and asked Him about the sign of His coming and the end of age, He gave what most people say is the Olivet prophesy as stated in Matthew 24:4-34 and at verse 34 He said that `Truly I say to you, in no way will this generation pass away until all these things have occurred.’
What Jesus was saying is that all the things He pronounced will be witnessed by a particular generation and that generation would not pass away until all those things pronounced have occurred.

By the way it should be noted that when He prophesies about the future it is not about dates but about generations as stated in
“Exodus 3:15 And God said to Moses again, You shall say this to the sons of Israel, Jehovah, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial from generation to generation;
Exodus 20:5 you shall not bow to them, and you shall not serve them; for I am Jehovah your God, a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of fathers on sons, on the third and on the fourth generation, to those that hate Me;”

Just a rider God visits the iniquity of fathers on sons, on the third and on the fourth generation,

In the book of Enoch it is stated that Enoch was called to pronounce judgment against the Angels that took the daughters of men and made them wives as written also in the book of Genesis 6:2 where it says that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were good, and they took wives for themselves from all those whom they chose.

If you look at the generations from Enoch to Noah (Gen: 5:19-25 Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech and Noah) you will notice that it is four generations and as stated God says in Exodus 20:5 you shall not bow to them, and you shall not serve them; for I am Jehovah your God, a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of fathers on sons, on the third and on the fourth generation, to those that hate Me.

You will notice that the iniquity at the time of Noah was so great that God’s Spirit could not strive with man and that Jehovah saw that the evil of man was great on the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the day long. And Jehovah repented that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved to His heart.
That generation grieved God and God decided to destroy them by use of water and remember it was fourth generation from the time of Enoch when the sons of God saw the daughters of men and they took wives for themselves and Jude says that in Jud 1:6 and those angels not having kept their first place, but having deserted their dwelling-place, He has kept in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of a great Day.

By the way this generation that would see His coming and experience the tribulation is the same generation that would be fallen, to the extent that it would be like as in the days of Noah as stated in Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noah, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man.

According to the bible in Psalms 90:10 says “The days of our years are seventy; and if any by strength live eighty years, yet their pride is labor and sorrow; for it soon passes, and we fly away.”
Now Jesus says in Mat 24:-32-34 But learn the parable of the fig tree: When its branch becomes tender and it puts out leaves, you know that the summer is near; so also you, when you see all these things, know that it is near at the doors. Truly I say to you, In no way will this generation pass away until all these things have occurred.
Jesus was again giving away His secret that this generation that will see His coming and experience tribulation will also see the return of the Jews to modern Israel which is always described in the bible as a fig tree that has become tender and put out its leaves.
By the way the fourth generation that turned away from God in rebellion might be the baby boomers who are defined as those born during the post world war II baby boom and if you look at it most became in the 1960s relatively large numbers of teenagers and young adults.
If you look at it, this is the generation that was born when also Israel was born and if you look at the bible a generation is a lifetime of seventy years and most of them are still alive and are nearly retiring and hitting seventy years.
The bible says that this generation will be as the generation that was described that lived as in the days of Noah and in the days of Lot.
These generation is described in the bible in Rom 1:28-32 And even as they did not think fit to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do the things not right, having been filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, iniquity, covetousness, malice, being full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, evil habits, becoming whisperers, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, proud, braggarts, devisers of evil things, disobedient to parents, without discernment, covenant breakers, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful, who knowing the righteous order of God, that those practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but also approve those practicing them.

Which is confirmed by an article of the baby boomers in the time magazine 1966 man of the year that stated:
“Never have the young been left more completely to their own devices. No adult can or will tell them what earlier generations were told: this is God, that is Good, this is Art, that is Not Done.”
Read more: http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,843150,00.html#ixzz1RzE1gohT
You may ask how came baby boomers would become a fourth generation, you will have to go back three generations back and this would be said to have been from the years 1750-1900.
Why, 1750’s generation is the one that experienced the industrial revolutions, social and class upheavals that led to the raise of atheism, materialism, and rationalism, which formed the foundation of today modernism.

It can be said that today post-modern world owes its ideas and existence from that generation that experienced the industrial revolutions and social and class upheavals.

Take an example that generation experienced astonishing changes in mechanization, transport, agricultural science, power generation, transportation, communication, including a process of globalization, spearheaded by imperialism and huge migrations within and between nations, improvements in weapons technology, and political ferment that would produce liberalism, socialism, and communism.

Please note that according to Encyclopedia of world history; Age of Revolution and Empire, in the 1760s–90s were as a low point in religious adherence and belief in the United States, with enlightened deism influential among elites; churches and personal morals disrupted by war; and politics, commerce, and westward migration competing with religion for popular interest.

This is what led to the Great awakenings which was led by the Holy Spirit and led to the conversion of many.

What I may trying to say is that during this time there was a great fall and a lot of people led rebellious lives and because of who God is and was, He brought a revival that was known as the Great awakenings so that His people would not perish and also note there were people who refused the gospel and rebelled and it is this first generation that leads to a fourth generation that is known as the baby boomers.

Please also note that according to American history neither awakening had as much of a numerical effect on the churches as their promoters hoped and claimed. What they did in effect was a revolution in how churches operated in a diverse, democratic society. Protestants became open to experiment and were determined to grow in national influence, making evangelicalism the powerful movement it remains today.

It also the time when Pope Pius IX (1792-1878) promulgated the Marian dogma of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin and convoked the Vatican I Council, which declared the dogma of papal infallibility that establishes that the pope, when speaking on matters of faith and morals, is infallible in his teachings.

Also according to this time during the French Revolution “A young actress, with a white robe and red bonnet and armed with the spear of knowledge, then passed down the aisle with the crowds chanting “Thou, Holy Liberty, come dwell in this temple, be the goddess of the French.” It was not long afterward that over 2,000 other churches in France were also “transformed” into Temples of Reason. In May 1794 an inscription was added to the front of Notre-Dame: “The French people A reproduction of a painting shows Maximilien Robespierre being interrogated before being executed on July 27, 1794. recognize the Supreme Being and the immortality of the soul,” and “Temple of Reason” was then changed to become the “Temple of the Supreme Being.”

All these is to show Christians the start of the upheavals that engulfed societies as they rebelled against God and laid a foundation of today societies that are godless and have hatred of God. This was the first generation that knew the word of God and openly rebelled against God that leads to the infamous fourth generation and their children.

Please note God will visit the iniquity of the fathers up-to the fourth generation and from there are on they are destroyed completely as stated in the bible God visits the iniquity of fathers on sons, on the third and on the fourth generation.

Please see that when Abraham was given a promise of the land, God told him that in the fourth generation they shall come again for at that time the iniquity of the Amorites was not yet full as stated in Gen 15:13-16 And He said to Abram, Knowing you must know that your seed shall be an alien in a land not theirs; and they shall serve them. And they shall afflict them four hundred years; and I also will judge that nation whom they shall serve; and afterward they shall come out with great substance. And you shall come to your fathers in peace. You shall be buried in good old age. And in the fourth generation they shall come here again; for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.

Baby boomers are the fourth generation whose iniquity cup has become full and as Jesus says in no way will this generation pass away until all these things have occurred.

By the way if you want to know the imagination of this generation, how wicked they are, one should compare them to what is stated in Genesis 6 as happened during the time of Noah where it stated “Jehovah saw that the evil of man was great on the earth, every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the day long”.

Just take a look at what is streamed at the television and internet. These two modes of communication are used to stream thoughts and I believe that God would say that this generation every imagination of the thoughts of the heart that are streamed through the two modes of communication is only evil all the day long.

This generation and her children who are described as hedonistic, meaninglessly rebellious, looks worse because every imagination of the thoughts of the hearts of this generation is evil and has been visualized through mediums that have also lead other people into darkness and destruction. This in addition to the evils being committed is very great in the face of God which is disheartening to the Spirit of God and the only thing that is remaining is destruction just like Noah generation experienced. And the worst of it the Church has been seduced by these evil imaginations.

Who shall warn this generation of the coming destruction?

The end is nigh we are racing against time, it is already the eleventh hour please prepare your heart for the coming of the Lord. He is coming, prepare your hearts.

Those that read my post know that I write on spiritual subjects: usually on the understanding of Scripture. Sometimes what is happening in the world is made clearer by what is written in the Bible. This occupy movement is such an event, or events that seem to make Scripture more clear for me.

The more one learns about Scripture the more one can learn. That may seem an odd statement, so consider this.

We are told from birth that the United States is a “Christian Country”, but when you become old enough to study the Bible on your own, without any so called help from others, one can see plainly that this Country is not Christian. It was formed in rebellion to God (Romans 13:1&2) by those that did not want the king that God had appointed over this land. The people decided to appoint their own king (President). They would no longer trust God to appoint a king. Verse four says the governing authority are “God’s servant”, but we believe those that serve are “Our servants”. How foolish we are to give power to men, to make laws that control our lives, and then expect them to only consider us! Now, you must already understand this before you can see the next step of events of this country.

God is not going to protect a county, or people, that do not have faith in His ability to appoint a king. Think about it, can you say that you believe God appointed a spiritual king for you, but He isn’t qualified to appoint a human king? Don’t bother trying to say that you prayed to God to guide you to vote for the right man. If you vote you are declaring God can not choose without the help of man.

At some point those who are in charge, because the people placed them in charge, will realize they are about to be voted out of office. They have put in place a plan for such an event. The president can declare a national emergency and halt the elections. It may not be this election, but is a possibility.

Someone is paying the expenses of those that occupy. I am old enough to know that no one spends money without expecting a return on their money. Those that are occupying are not in agreement about just what they believe: except the rich are their enemies. I believe those who are supporting the occupiers know exactly what they expect to get for their money.

If I were in power and did not want to loose that power and I did not really care about the people, or cared for myself more than the people, I might devise a plan to hire thugs, to cause large riots just before an election, so that I could declare a national emergency. Actually because the news media can be trusted to over emphasize their reports, I wouldn’t even have to cause large riots.

The news media is already over emphasizing the importance of a bunch of nuts dumping in the parks. Yes, I said dumping and you know what I mean.

Hitler had his Brown Shirts: this government has its Occupiers: puppets on a string!

What I said about this country is true and accurate. My prophecy is speculation. However, it is based on the actions and desires of men.

I say this to Christians so that if and when it happens they will not loose any of their faith. It should strengthen ones faith. Joseph Lule pointed out in his last comment, that it is God that has control of those that oppose Him and even though it may seem as if the world is going to defeat God’s children He will reveal Himself and save us.

Think about it.

Darned if soapyjames didn’t challenge me again!

Well, I guess I took it as a challenge when he asked me if I had written anything on homosexuality.

I see far too much hate for those who wrestle with homosexuality. If one has no gay desires it is easy to think of oneself as a bit more pure than someone that does and it leads to an easy judgment. The Bible says that we should not judge, as to pass sentence, but we “must” judge right and wrong. The word “judge” can have either meaning. That might seem a bit confusing until you apply it to a court proceeding: we are not the judge that passes sentence, but the jury that determines guilt. Too many Christians have tried to pass sentence on someone else’s errors, instead of just determining the error.

Anyway, soapyjames question prompted me to think about sex. You see the basic root of the problem for gay people is sex. Too many times when someone learns something about a subject, they take that information and “go forward” (I hate that phrase. If you are standing at the edge of a cliff, then forward is not the way that you want to go). When I see something new I have made it a habit to turn around with my thoughts and try to thread my way back to the root of the idea to see if it fits the entire Bible.

The Bible is like a jigsaw puzzle in that all of the pieces must fit all of the other pieces. I have a different understanding of sex than anyone that I have ever heard so brace your self, because I am going to “lay it on you”.

If one could be perfect then ALL SEX IS A SIN.

Well, I told you, it was different, didn’t I? So, let me try to explain what I said.

God says that having sex with someone is becoming one with that person: even with a prostitute (1 Cor 6:16 NIV) Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”

God wants to raise us up with Christ. We become one with him only. Becoming one with anyone, or anything else, is wrong.

(Eph 2:13-16 NIV) But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has MADE THE TWO ONE and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself ONE NEW MAN OUT OF THE TWO, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.

If God had made us perfect then we would not have any desire to become one with anyone except Jesus Christ. We would be one of the one hundred forty four thousand that follow Jesus. (Rev 14:4 NIV) “These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they kept themselves pure. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among men and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb.”

I believe God made the 144,000 different than the rest of us. Not only will they keep themselves from sex, but they will not have any desire for anyone but Jesus. If you even think about having sex with someone it is wrong. (Mat 5:28 NIV) “But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Though I can control my actions, I cannot control my thoughts about sex, so the 144,000 are not like me.

Any Israelite woman that had a son or daughter was to bring a sin offering to the priest and that sin offering was for her, not the baby. Having a baby was proof that she had sex, or become one with someone other than Jesus and even if it was with her husband, she needed a sin offering. Yes, I know that someone that lived before Jesus died, could not have become one with him, but that does not change anything. You have to keep in mind that I said perfect as you read what I am saying about sex.

Notice that “anyone” that had sex in the Old testament (under law) was considered unclean. (Lev 15:18 NIV) “When a man lies with a woman and there is an emission of semen, both must bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.” The stipulation of “emission of semen” separated sleeping with a woman and having sex with her.

If you understand that all sex is sin, then you can understand that everyone, except Jesus, was born in sin, or of an unclean act.

So, basically what I am saying is, ‘If you are concentrating on someone else’s sin, such as homosexuality, you would be better off looking at your own sin.

It is one thing to have homosexual desires and another to practice and attempt to justify those desires. Those who practice homosexuality, practice sin, just as those who consider themselves more pure and yet look at women lustfully and sleep with them. Gay people can not justify homosexual sex “because God made me this way” any more than straight people can justify lust “because God made me this way”. Truth is how could we avoid lust in our minds, if we watch movies and TV, whether or not we are homosexual, or straight?

I write these posts so that we all can learn as we think about God’s word. If you disagree and comment on what you do not understand, the same way as I do, then we both learn. I must consider your view and I must think a bit more about what I understand. Perhaps you are right and I am wrong, or perhaps we both are right, from our point of view. It is possible for both to be right and yet disagree. Sometimes we are only placing a different definition on some key word.

I wrote a post on tithing (It is not even possible to tithe!) and soapyjames challenged some of my conclusions. That forced me to re-examine my understanding and God added to my comprehension of the symbolism of yeast as used in Scripture. Because we are both genuine in our desire to understand God’s word, I think soapyjames also gained understanding.

Yeast is always used as a symbol of sin in Scripture. Almost all of the Old Testament offerings to God were to be void of any yeast. They all were symbolic of Jesus. He is the bread of life and that bread is without sin and usually covered in oil, which I think is symbolic of understanding or faith: the two are, at least for me, very closely related.

The fellowship offering is the only one where yeast is allowed and it was to be presented along with cakes of bread made without yeast and mixed with oil, wafers made without yeast and spread with oil, and cakes of fine flour well-kneaded and mixed with oil. That was a symbol of Jesus (bread of life with no sin/yeast). The cakes of bread made with yeast, which were to be presented along with the bread without yeast, I believe, symbolized the church: you and me that have sinned (and still do).

There is another offering described in Leviticus 23 that also required yeast in the bread and along with the bread seven male lambs, each a year old and without defect, one young bull and two rams were to be sacrificed as a burnt offering to the LORD. It is called the offering of new grain and the symbolism is the same as the fellowship offering.

Then there is Communion where the bread is to be without yeast, which represents Jesus. The emblem of the blood of Jesus is to be wine. In fully fermented wine all of the yeast is destroyed and that is why God chose wine to represent the blood of Jesus. The Blood of Jesus destroyed the power of sin and that is what the wine represents.

Because soapyjames caused me to dwell on yeast God has granted me the answer to a question that has puzzled me sense I first read it. (John 19:29&30 NIV) A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus’ lips. When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

No one drinks vinegar to quench their thirst. It was a cruel thing to do, to offer vinegar instead of water, but that is consistent with the crucifixion of Jesus.

In order to make wine the air must be kept from the juice. If air is allowed to contact the juice, vinegar is produced instead of wine. The result is that the product is spoiled or undrinkable. The spirit that is at work in those who are disobedient is the ruler of the kingdom of the air (Eph 2:2 NIV). Jesus kept the air away and he made wine, but the world did not and we make vinegar. The symbolism of Jesus drinking vinegar is that he took our sin.

Study yeast in the Bible and you will see that Jesus predicted the condition of the church today.

Mat 13:33 (NIV) He told them still another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough.”

Luke 13:20&21 (NIV) Again he asked, “What shall I compare the kingdom of God to? It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough.”

I haven’t written about baptism lately, so I feel that it is time.

If you think baptism is a work or it is unnecessary for salvation, then I would ask you the same question that Jesus asked the chief priests and the elders of Israel.

(Mat 21:25 NIV) John’s baptism–where did it come from? Was it from heaven, or from men?” They discussed it among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will ask, ‘Then why didn’t you believe him?’
(Mark 11:30 NIV) John’s baptism–was it from heaven, or from men? Tell me!”
(Luke 20:4 NIV) John’s baptism–was it from heaven, or from men?”

The people that Jesus asked were afraid of being stoned to death, if they answered “From men”, but you don’t have to worry about being stoned today. The world will applaud you if you say “From men”. However, it would seem that no one, but God is asking. The only reference found of baptism is in the Bible, so where did baptism come from?

There are those who think baptism is only a sign and if you are one then consider Luke 7:29&30.

(Luke 7:29&30 NIV) (All the people, even the tax collectors, when they heard Jesus’ words, acknowledged that God’s way was right, because they had been baptized by John. But the Pharisees and experts in the law rejected God’s purpose for themselves, because they had not been baptized by John.)

Ask yourself if you are any different than all the people. Then ask yourself if God’s way is right. What is God’s way? Don’t answer as I and all true believers know God’s way and we know it is right. You see, baptism has power to grant understanding: that is you see “if” you have been baptized.

Well, this post is to explain the mechanics of baptism, so let me explain.

Every man sins and God will not become one with a sinner. God is pure and would not soil Himself by uniting with the impure.

There are three parts to baptism. John’s baptism is a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. It is the first part of baptism.

The second part is that the individual is buried. That may seem odd that one is buried alive, however the person is dead in sin, they may seem alive to others, even to themselves, but they are dead to God, so they are not buried alive at all.

The third part is that they are raised a new person and that new person has not sinned: at least not yet. Then God can become one with that person, because at that moment in time they are pure and can receive the Holy Spirit.

Without the Holy Spirit one only has men to lead. All men are flawed, so no man is perfectly qualified to lead. However, the Holy Spirit is perfect and wants to lead everyone to understanding.

If you are someone that clings to the belief that we can not work for salvation, then calm down as someone else does the work of baptism. All a new believer has to do is let someone baptize them.

By the way, does anyone believe that we should just sprinkle dirt on a dead body and call it a burial? That body would smell so bad that there could be no question about the matter. If you have just been sprinkled and you have let someone convince you that you have been baptized, then ask God if that is true. Then seek His answer from His Word.

Also as Scripture says John’s baptism, is a baptism of repentance. Can a baby repent? What sin would a just God hold against a baby? How can it be said that a baby could be baptized when it doesn’t even know what is happening to it? Doesn’t the person have to know they are a sinner in order to know they must repent?

I’m good at giving advice when it wasn’t asked for, so let me continue. If you have not been properly baptized, then go, as soon as you can, to a church that still practices it and ask to be baptized. You do not have to join that church, as all of God’s people are the church. If that church demands that you join their congregation in order to be baptized then seek a church that doesn’t make such a demand. I also would advise you not to ask, or even tell, the leaders of a church, that accepts sprinkling, what you are contemplating, or have done. It really is none of their business. It is your life that is at stake, not theirs. The only thing they have in the game is their pride in what they think they know and their income. For if they were to agree with you, then they would lose their position and they might have to work with their hands for a living, as the Bible says they should.

You see John came to prepare the way for the Lord. He brought baptism and baptism prepares the way for all the people of the Lord.

If you have confused yourself, or allowed someone to confuse you, with the idea that it is only God that determines whether, or not one is saved, then I do not think that you can understand that sin does, indeed, have a purpose.

Sin is both a noun and a verb. Sin is the opposite of righteousness. If righteousness is one choice and we can choose not to do righteous acts, then the other choice would have to be the opposite and it is called sin.

If you believe that it is only God that chooses those who will be saved, then even Jesus had/has no purpose. Why would anyone have to suffer the punishment for sin, if God were going to choose the saved, without considering sin? And if God did consider sin, then, because all humans sin, no one could be saved. So, then sin would have no purpose and all the wrong done in this world was for nothing!

(Isa 59:1&2 NIV) “Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.” You can see that sin is what separates us from God and we all sin. The Gospel, or good news is that all, who want to be saved, can be saved, through Jesus Christ.

Mat 7:78 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” That is good news to all sinners and it could not be true, if salvation was only for those that God would choose.

If it is only God that chooses then what purpose is the Bible? It would only confuse both the lost and the saved. Who would need to know anything about God, if it were only God that chose and man could neither help, nor hinder Him with His choice!

I, for one, cannot see any purpose in “anything”, without free will. I know, for a fact that I am free to sin, because I have, and though I do not want too, I still sin. I believe that God lets me sin, so that I do not forget my need of a Savior. It is not enough for me to remember Jesus only during communion.

So, you are probably thinking ‘Well, when are you going to tell me what is the purpose of sin?’ Right now. Sin is proof we have free will. If there were no free will, there would be no sin. Sin is to disobey God and everyone disobeys God.

The purpose of sin is, SIN PROVES GOD CORRECT, because the result of sin always hurts others as well as the sinner and if we do not sin then no one is hurt. It proves God’s way is right.

Another purpose of sin is SIN SEPERATES THOSE FROM GOD WHO DO NOT WANT TO BE WITH HIM. It also separates those who will not do to others, as they would have others do to them, from the saved. We will be at peace in Heaven, because everyone will do to others as they want others to do to them and there will no longer be any sin. There would be no longer any purpose in it.

If you have a little faith and something happens that seems as though God is not protecting you, then think about what might have happened and you might see that though you may suffer some God has allowed the best thing in the circumstances.

Let me explain my recent small disaster and after some thought, how I understand it.

I do not often tell anyone my age. It surprises them and the younger men always think of me differently. God has blessed me with the health and look of a person half my age and that is how they perceive me.

I walk about six miles a day, but one of my rules is not to walk in the neighborhood after dark. It is not real dangerous, but the world is not what it was when I was young.

This morning I violated that rule. I started just before dawn and I thought it would get light quickly; and it did. However, a teen-age boy, coming from behind, rode past me and grabbed my favorite hat. At first I thought he just knocked it off my head and I yelled, “Good shot” after him, because I played pranks when I was young and I like a good joke, even when I am the butt of it.

Then I looked around for it and realized that he didn’t knock it off my head, but he stole it off my head. By then he was about a half a block from me. Well, in my mind I grew another two feet and became twenty years old again.

I started to run after him. Now I can still run about as good as I ever could, which isn’t all that fast, but I was gaining on him. My plan, if you would call it that, was to knock him off his bike and retrieve my hat.

I knew that I was not gaining fast enough to reach him before I ran out of wind, so I put that extra effort into it. Well, I am not twenty and I have not tried to run at top speed for quite some time.

I pulled the muscle in the back of my left leg and that threw my gate off a bit, which resulted in a loss of balance, and that resulted in a fall. I skinned both knees and both hands. That also ended my walk for the day.

After I took care of my wounds, I thought about what happened and I see that God was indeed watching over me!

First, God didn’t give me this health to enable me to knock teen-agers off their bikes. I would not want to be knocked off a bike and the Second Royal Law states “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”, so it would have been wrong to knock him off the bike, even though he stole my hat.

Then, if I had succeeded, there would have been a fight between a small and very winded seventy one year old man and a fresh teenager. Now that I am calmed down, I can picture the result and that is even if the young man didn’t have a weapon. I am no champion when it comes to fighting, even when I am fresh.

Therefore, I can see that God was truly protecting me. I thank him every time I get up, walk, or climb steps, because the pain reminds me of His love.

Truth is, the hat was old and worn out and not worth anything that happened as a result of the theft. God has blessed me with enough wealth to buy a new hat. Then I can make it look old. The only thing I am sorry for is “I DON’T HAVE LICE”!

Recently, while attending a Bible study, second Thessalonians 2:11 was brought up and it created a spirited exchange of ideas. Some might call it argument, but I think of it as spirited. I like spirited exchanges, because those who engage, whether right or wrong, really care about what God is trying to convey to us.

(2 Th 2:11 NIV) For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie

One person, believing they know God pretty well said God would not do such a thing, but Scripture says He will. That perception of God seems to be the common one that one finds in church. It is said that God loves everyone, but the truth, as I understand it, is God loves those that love Him. Now, if someone that does not love God would come to their senses and begin to love the truth, then God would love them and save them, as a result of His love.

Anyway, the discussion caused me to think about delusions and illusions. Both are words for an erroneous concept or belief, but a delusion is a false belief strongly held in spite of invalidating evidence.

(2 Th 2:9-12 NIV) The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

I thought to myself, “there are many that are perishing now, so is the delusion in the world now?” Then God began to answer me and show me, not just one delusion, but many. Please, don’t think that I mean God spoke to me audibly. God speaks to me the same way He speaks to all that have been baptized into Christ: through our thoughts.

He pointed out that money is a delusion. The world believes money is the answer for everything and of course it is not. Almost everyone, even many believers, think money will make one happy and if they had a lot, they could change the world, but even believing one can change the world is a delusion. Is a church that believes they need money, to further the cause, attempting to serve both money and God?

Insurance is a delusion, it is a business and a business must serve money first. If an insurance company can find a reason not to pay a claim it is good business to do so. Those who put their trust in insurance trust a business that looks for ways not to pay!

Democracy is a delusion. No one, except God, is qualified to lead, because no one, except God, knows the future. A decision that is made without knowing the future is akin to throwing dice, even if that decision came from the most intelligent person in the world.

At this time we have a government that is arguing over money. Arguing over a delusion! A politician must lie in order to be elected. The politician that would say “I can only try to govern rightly” would never be elected. They must say that they will do something, but no one can “guarantee” they can do anything. If you put your trust in a politician, you are trusting someone that lied to get the job. Great start to serving the people, isn’t it?

Even the medical profession is a delusion! It doesn’t matter how long we live on this earth. The bottom line is that we are all going to leave: no matter what. It is fashionable to say “Save a life”, but it is not a true statement: “prolong a live” might be true, but even then I have seen life prolonged when it was useless to do so.

I reached the conclusion that only God is not an illusion. Everyone is free to put their trust in anything, and they do, but as for me, as best that I can, I will trust only God.

I have to laugh I do that more and more as I understand more: you have just read a post from an illusion! Don’t put your trust in children (Mathew 11:25) and I am becoming more and more like a child (Mathew 18:3).

Do not put your trust in this child or what he says. Only trust in God.

If you follow all of the comments, on all of my posts, then you know that I called a man a fool. The post was “HELL IS NOT A PUNISHMENT FROM GOD” and the comments were from “aperson”.

I study the Bible a little and it says (Mat 5:22 NIV) But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, ‘Raca, ‘ is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

If I thought that I was defendable, one might think that I was trying to justify myself. So let me explain myself and then ask yourself, if it were you, would you feel guilty for calling this man a fool.

First, I was not the first to call him a fool; God was. I am certainly guilty of agreeing with God, but did I call him a fool, or did God? In Psalms 14:1 & 53:1 Scripture says, “The fool says in his heart, “There is no God. That was written thousands of years before the man that I called a fool was born.

It was clear from the man’s comments that he has said in his heart there is no God. The man doesn’t think himself a fool, but God does and because I believe God knows and understands everything then I also believe the man a fool.

I was not, and am not, angry with the man. I didn’t call him a fool out of anger. I did so to explain to him that God did, because it was apparent that he did not read God’s Word and therefore did not know what God thought of him.

It truly amazes me when I realize how many in this world are fools! Some of the most intelligent men and women are some of the biggest fools! Truth is not in them and they will not deal with it.

They say life just happened when it is not possible for it to just happen. The first cell that life happened too would have to know that it had to consume something in order to continue to exist. It would have to be able to find that food, have a system that would permit that food to enter itself. Then it would have to be able to digest or use that food to produce energy and then know how to get rid of the waste. It would also have to know how to procreate; a whole other set of instructions. Life without all of the instructions that are necessary in order to sustain it is impossible. To say it just happened is to admit there was no thought of the matter and to continue to proclaim life just happened, without a God, is just foolish. God calls them fools, because they are.

That is just evolution. It is apparent that the universe is constructed of energy. Einstein’s equation was proved correct when the first atom bomb exploded, but even though fools use this knowledge to destroy, they do not admit the universe is made from nothing!

Well, when I look in the mirror, I see a man that certainly shares in foolishness. I have attempted to explain to fools, with truth and logic, that there has to be a God. I know that it is not possible to understand anything without applying truth and logic to the subject and it is so obvious that I thought everyone understood those basic principles, but I was wrong.

The fool loads his spiritual shotgun with all kinds of questions and fires it at the Christian. It is a wise Christian that has his armor on, but not so wise a Christian that would try to pick up one of those questions and attempt to answer the fool. All the time that the Christian is preparing to answer, the fool is reloading. He has no intention of really considering “any” answer. His goal is to destroy the Christian’s understanding and thereby his faith: showing himself to be superior the Christian: to all Christians. When he cannot he just says to himself ‘Those Christians sure are stupid’ and goes his merry way. He doesn’t even know that he is a fool and if the Christian tells him, he just gets mad.

(1 Cor 14:16&17 NIV) If you are praising God with your spirit, how can one who finds himself among those who do not understand say “Amen” to your thanksgiving, since he does not know what you are saying? You may be giving thanks well enough, but the other man is not edified.

The fool cannot understand and “will” not understand. I have heard the phrase ‘suffer a fool’ before and I didn’t understand it, but I do now and though in the future I will answer a fool I will not continue beyond two or three tries.

When ever I do something wrong the Spirit within me lets me know and I feel bad and I repent. I may make the same mistake again, but again the Spirit will let me know. But I did not and do not feel remorse for attempting to enlighten the fool and I do not feel bad about calling him a fool. I do not feel that I have grieved the Holy Spirit.

What do you think? Was I more wrong than I confessed too? Is there some way that I do not know or some wisdom that I did not apply to the problem?
