This is almost an exact copy of the last comment that I placed on the post ‘IRON SHARPENS IRON?’ So, you might have already read my thoughts. However, for those who have not read the comments, I am repeating what I said here.

I am old now. All my life I have enjoyed repairing, modifying, and making mechanical and electronic machines of many kinds.

I have found that the more one knows and understands about any subject the better the out come of the task. So, I have always tried to learn more about almost everything.

When I read Proverbs 27:17 (NIV) As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. I knew it meant that a man cannot sharpen another man, because I know and understand how something is sharpened.

In my ignorance and unbelief, I thought that others should know and understand how something is sharpened, so they might also understand the verse. So, I wrote a post and when someone commented I attempted to explain what I knew, but no one could understand!

Seven is the number of completeness and I have been trying to make others understand, as I do, for seven years and not one has said, “You are correct, iron cannot sharpen iron”.

Do you see that my attempt to teach others was a sin of unbelief? The very verse that I was trying to teach stated that it was not possible for a man to teach another man! If I had been successful, even once, I would have proven myself wrong!

The Holy Spirit that lives in me had taught me the meaning of the verse and because I am a sinner, who would like to sharpen others, I tried to sharpen others! What a stupid sinner I am.

I tell myself that I believe God, but God has given me seven years to prove to me that I do not really believe Him.

I am just like the father spoken of in Mark 9:17-24 and I make the same request to God “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

If iron could sharpen itself, then I could sharpen myself, but I cannot. I need the Spirit, along with the Word of God, to sharpen me and He has just given me a seven-year course, just for my benefit, that I might believe God when He says something.

Trying to do something that Scripture says is not possible only leads to frustration for both the speaker and the one that listens. Frustration leads to anger, So, I apologize to all that I have angered for these last seven years.

I give up. That is quite a statement for me to make, as I am not one to give up, but I am only opposing God and that was not my intention.

Usually, I return any comment about what I have written. However, after seven years, I am done with any reference to iron sharpening iron.

You might think that I am a one who believes in conspiracy theories.

Well, the events of 9/11/01 were caused by a conspiracy. Moreover, I might add, a Muslim conspiracy.

The two passengers that boarded Flight 370 were Iranians and Iran is a Muslim country and a refuge for Muslims.

If you draw a line from the last known position of Flight 370 to Beijing and measure it, to determine how far the plane was fueled to go, and then sweep that line to the west, it is apparent that the plane could reach Iran. I might add that any airplane must carry some reserve in case of a delay reaching its destination, so if one uses the reserve, the distance can be increased.

If a country has manufactured an atomic bomb, the next step is to build a means to deliver it to the target.

My first thought was the plane was stolen in order to remake it into a bomber. However, one doesn’t have to remake anything, if the whole airplane is the bomb.

Muslims have already demonstrated that they are willing to die for their beliefs, so the only thing that must be done to a 777 in order to make it the means to deliver a bomb is to load it.

If you think this a wild idea and therefore not worthy of consideration, then what about 9-11?

If you read much of what I write, you know that I seldom have the standard answer.

My answer is “yes” if I owned a bakery, I would bake a cake for a gay wedding.

Gay people are just sinners. They have their own favorite sin and it is one that holds no interest for a normal human, but it is a sexual sin and most men commit sexual sins much of the time.

If one takes the position that they will not serve others, because of their sins, then they have only one possible customer and he is sitting at the right hand of God, so they really have no customers at all.

If you live in the United States, you have probably heard the saying, “Friends don’t let friends drive drunk”. That is an accurate statement, because if you try to stop a drunk from driving, he will not be your friend. He may have been your friend, and he may well be your friend tomorrow, but not when you try to stop him from doing what he wants to do.

We, as a rule, do not listen to our enemies and to refuse to serve a sinner, because he or she is a sinner, makes that person an enemy. If you want the other person to listen to our message, then do not antagonize them. It would be better if other Christians think that you approve of their sin, than to alienate someone, so that they will not listen to the most important message of their life.

You know, in your own mind, that you would not approve of any sin. It is not necessary to show others what is in your mind, especially by alienating another person. The only opinion of ones holiness is the opinion of God and He already knows your mind.

A persons sins are his or her own sins. Serving the sinner does not put a stamp of approval on the person, or their sins. All of mankind are sinners, it is just that most people try to hide their sins (It makes it easier to sin, if the person that is sinned against doesn’t expect it).

The bottom line is that we as Christians are supposed to act as Jesus would. Jesus came to serve sinners. To refuse to serve a sinner, because you believe that others might think that you are approving of their sin, is certainly not emulating Jesus.

The only time that Jesus stopped anyone from sinning is when he threw the money changers out of the Temple. He did this because they were defiling the Temple.

If a practicing homosexual is among the saved, they should be handed over to Satan, so their sinful nature may be destroyed, and their spirit will be saved on the day of the Lord. (1 Corn 5:1-5) That is better for the person, as well as better for the Church.
