WHY ARE WE HERE

December 21, 2015

I believe that we all ask that question, both to ourselves and to others. I will give you my answer to the question, the answer that I believe God has given to me, along with some of the other questions that atheists ask, to try to undermine our faith.

First my answer, or better said, the answer that God has given me. I am not, nor do I claim to be a mental heavyweight, so if I understand something I believe God has given that understanding and it is not because I am any more gifted than others, but only because I asked Him. I also believe that it is the proper time for Him to answer this question. It is the time of the end and this is one of those things that have been sealed until now.

THIS WORLD AND EVERYTHING IN IT IS ONLY A TEST.

That is the answer. You see, the answer is like the two golden rules, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Mat 22:37-40)

Just like all of the law is found in those two rules, all of the answers to why we are here can be found in the understanding that ‘this is only a test’.

Everyone is here to be tested. Will you humble yourself and set your mind to gain understanding about God? If you do so you will win the game of life, but if you do not, you will lose. There is no possibility of a tie game, one can only win or lose. If one chooses to be an agnostic, and not play the game, they lose. God demands we all play. He has created everything and it is His right to demand that we all play the game.

The existence of God can not be proven, because if it could this would not be a fair test, actually, it would not be a test at all. For the same reason God cannot be disproved. So, when someone says God cannot be proven, agree with them, because they are right. But know and understand why. Man cannot search out answers if it is God that hides them. The existence of God cannot be disproved either, but that is not something that an atheist has considered. It has been my experience that they “will” not consider that God can not be disproved.

What happens here, on this earth, is a result of those who are failing the test.

It is said that if there is a God then why are there wars? Why doesn’t God stop them? Think about it. If God stopped sin then the test would be over. He will stop sin, and the test will be over, and it will be soon, but until He does wars will exist, because men worship money and power and they do not care about others.

Why is there sin if God hates it? You see it is the same answer, if God stopped sin then there can be no test.

Those who are attempting to win must suffer the result of those who are not trying to do so. They lie, cheat, steal, and kill and sometimes it is Christians that are the victims. It helps me to know that it really does not matter to me if those things are done to me. That is not to say that it does not hurt, but it is easer to understand when God says, “If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also” (Mat 5:39).

This is a perfect game, because God designed it. It is really a virtual reality game. Our body is the interface to the game. When the body dies the game is over for that person. It does not really matter if we lose an arm, or leg, or if anything physical happens to our body, as this body was only created for the game. When God raises everyone, at the end of time, no one will be without an arm or leg.

(Col 1:16 NIV) For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

God created everything that is here for the game. Pain and suffering were created for this game, as was Satan. There must be both bad and good for a fair game and God is fair.

If you think God did not create Satan then consider (Isa 54:16 NIV) “See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to work havoc”

If you think that we as Christians can change the world and create Heaven on earth, then you do not understand why we are here.

If you do not yet understand, if you are a Christian then you are here as an ambassador of God, not to change the world, but to show the world how one should act and what is right to do in every situation. Jesus is the perfect example of this and we should strive to do just as he did in everything that we do.

That is not to say that it is possible to always do what Jesus would do, as we are all flawed and fall short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23).

It also helps me when I consider earthly games. Not all players posses the same skill level and sometime I miss the goal, but so far there has always been an opportunity to take another shot!

Merry Christmas to all.

THE ABOMINATION THAT CAUSES DESOLATION

December 17, 2015

(Mark 13:14 NIV) “When you see ‘the abomination that causes desolation’ standing where it does not belong–let the reader understand–then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
(Mat 24:15&16 NIV) “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel–let the reader understand–then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
(Dan 12:9 NIV) He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end.

This is the time of the end and so the words are no longer closed up and sealed.

The statue that king Nebuchadnezzar saw in his dream was/is explained in the second chapter of the book of Daniel.

I must plagiarize some of Daniel’s writing because it parallels my understanding. ‘No wise man, enchanter, magician or diviner can explain to you this mystery, but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. He has shown me what will happen in days to come. As for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because I have greater wisdom than other living men, but so that you may know the interpretation and that you may understand.’

The key to understanding this abomination is the statue that king Nebuchadnezzar saw in his dream. This statue represents all of the governments of the earth. You see, all of the governments of the earth are abominations to God.

In the Kingdom of God, when everything is as it should be, there will be only one government, only one King, and only one God.

All of the governments of the earth attempt to take the place of God. They make laws to force the people do what they want. All of the prophecies that God told Israel that a king would do to them are true of any government of men that has ever been on this earth.

Governments are really only agents of wrath (Rom 13:4). However, the people view governments as an authority that will make life better for them! How can an agent of wrath take the place of God and make things better? Governments or authorities were established by God to punish those who do wrong, not to solve all of our problems and make life perfect.

Abominations that cause desolation are like antichrists in that there are many of them. As Scripture says anyone who denies Jesus is an antichrist (John 2:18-22). Just as there are many antichrists there are many governments that bear the title of ‘the abomination that causes desolation’. Actually they all bear the same title and they have all caused desolation.

However, there is one supreme antichrist and that is Satan, and there is one supreme government that causes desolation and that is Islam.

“O” yes, Islam is a government as well as a religion. It was created by Satan and the sole purpose of Islam is to destroy the true God’s kingdom on this earth. The kingdom of God is in us (Luke 17:20&21) and Islam is commanded, by their god of death and destruction, to destroy us, thereby destroying the kingdom of God.

The abomination that causes desolation is the statue in the dream of King Nebuchadnezzar, spoken of in Daniel (Dan 2:31-35). It represents all of the governments, kingdoms, democracies or any form of authority that exists on this earth and they will be completely destroyed: swept away without leaving a trace (Dan 2:35).

Soon all of the governments of this earth will attack and defeat Israel and as one they will stand on the Holy Mountain, but just as it is said, the statue will be destroyed by a rock, not cut out by human hands, and that rock will become a mountain and fill the whole earth.

(Mark 13:14 NIV) “When you see ‘the abomination that causes desolation’ standing where it does not belong–let the reader understand–then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

The words are no longer sealed and we can understand.

I have no plans to visit Judea, so I have a pretty good head start toward the mountains.

Having said that, I know that God did not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, until all of those who worshiped Him were safely away. I view this as an example of the end, so I do not think I will be on this earth to view God’s wrath.
